Home

Once upon a time there was a Golden Cavalry that would fight battles only to bring joy and pride to their people. They were considered the most powerful army in all the kingdoms and others would fear them just by seeing the bright yellow body armour from a long distance. Every time they returned home their people would receive them at the limits of the kingdom throwing flowers and good words with smiles that filled each other’s heart of excitement.
After decades of fighting and wining the army got old and bored and though still proud of what they did in the past it was tired of fighting. They would still win a couple of battles but not as beautifully as they did before.
The time came when their kingdom was finally invaded by other colorful armies that were as strong as the Golden Cavalry but much younger and restless.
The Golden Cavalry didn’t believe they could ever be beaten at home with such a huge and supportive crowd engaged in the battle as much as the army itself. But they were. A striped dark black and bloody red army, organized and determined massacred the once unbeatable men and women. Mesmerized, surprised and angry its citizen lost their heads and started burning their flags in revolt as if forgetting all that the Golden Cavalry had done for them in the past years, as if one defeat was enough to destroy what took decades to be built.
They never needed to have hope nor patience and for that they blamed their own army. The same army that brought home joy and pride for so many years. The Golden Cavalry was ashamed but they had nothing to be ashamed of. They were still the greatest army in history and they could easily become, once again, unbeatable. They just had to teach themselves how to be patience, to keep hope and go back to trainning.

THE END… for now.
